Levke Harders is Professor at the Department of History and European Ethnology at the University of Innsbruck. As a historian, she is primarily concerned with social structures and discourses shaping the daily lives of individuals as well as their own scope for action. She has written and taught about gender history, migration history, biography research, and the history of the humanities. After studying Modern German Literature, Modern and Contemporary History, Cultural Studies, and Gender Studies at the HU Berlin, she received her PhD for a historical study in American Studies and Gender in 2013. From 2008 to 2021, she worked at the University of Bielefeld. In 2019/20, she was a visiting fellow at the German Historical Institute in Washington, DC (USA).
Levke Harders is at CAS upon the invitation of Dr. Sina Steglich (CAS Researcher in Residence/LMU) during the summer semester 2025.
